Vintage Thorens TD166 MKII 2-Speed Belt-Drive Suspended Chassis Turntable (Refurbished)

The Thorens TD-166 MK II is a classic suspended chassis table that comes with a very capable tonearm and a 2-speed belt driven platter. This turntable offers excellent performance in an easy to use package. This turntable has a neutral character allowing the music to play clearly with nice clarity. The Thorens TD-166 MK II was awarded a number of awards when it was originally released in the 1990’s.

I am the ORIGINAL OWNER of this Thorens turntable and purchased it new in Memphis. TN back in the 1990’s. I purchased this turntable at Underground Audio on Central Ave. back in the day! This company closed years ago regrettably.

This unit was just refurbished with the following parts from Vinyl Nirvana.

1.     Thorens Standard Drive Belt Replacement OEM with Logo.

2.     Thorens Upgrade Feet for TD-16X 14X Turntables.

3.     NEW Replacement Springs for TD-165 166 166 MK II 146 Turntables.

This turntable is in excellent overall condition. I still have the original box and packing materials. The turntable will be shipping double-boxed, with a new box to protect the original box inside.

Please review the attached pictures for more details. Please note the scratches on the dust cover. Overall, the dust cover looks good but it does have various scratches gained over the years. Overall, the turntable is in excellent condition and comes from a non-smoking household.

Thorens TD-160 TD-145 TD-165 TD-125 MKII Alignment Gauge is included. This tool simplifies aligning and setting overhang for the listed turntables. It is a great tool to have!
