Jerry Garcia Gator (AWESOME!) Strat/ Natural Rusch Guitars

This is an auction for a Rusch Guitars Garcia Alligator Strat " 'Gator ". This is an accurate reproduction of Jerry Garcia's first real real customized guitar - (Wolf and Tiger followed) . This is a special Strat with a special sound, due to the custom parts and assembly. There are some nice live videos of them being played on Youtube, most notably, Stu Allen playing with Phil Lesh and Friends "sugaree" from 9/16 - sounds dead-on to Jerry's Gator tones. Clean powerful and focused. This is not a typical Strat. Robert decided not to heavily relic the guitar, but rather have a few "relic" parts added - strap buttons, 1/4" jack plate, neck plate. On to the specs. Official 50's Reissue Fender Stratocaster Neck- 50's Reissue  Fender Stratocaster- Maple- Soft "V" Shape, 21 Vintage Frets- 7.25" Radius (184 mm)- 25.5" Scale Length (648 mm)- 1.650" Width at Nut (42 mm)- Tuning Peg Hole Size 3/8"- Genuine Fender. A very comfortable feeling neck with the soft V - Schaller Mini 6-in line tuners, chrome , like the original replacements Jerry used, hand fabricated retainer washer for "B, E" Strings, fabricated brass retainer bar for the E,A,D,G , Like original, fabricated scalloped brass nut, low action - 3/64" - 4/64" . Swamp ash Fender Strat body, W/B/W fender pick guard, Upgraded Fender Vintage 57/62' set pickups, Upgraded CTS pots (2 extra pickup selections above the original 3 way, pos. 2 & 4)  and Orange drop .047 mf cap & CRL 5-way blade switch, Alembic Stratoblaster boost, adjustable. Custom heavy duty solid brass custom machined bridge, cocobolo rosewood riser and brass tailpiece, custom brass control plate, custom brass jackplate surround with Allen Bradley Mil. spec. black tophat knobs from Alembic and of course, the stickers - Harley / Policmans helper and the Alligator. Hardshell rectangular Gator guitar case included.This is a glossier version than the original  Robert only makes about 1 of these special guitars per year.
