About This Listing

You are looking at a single add-on drum sensor in perfect condition to expand your Sunhouse Sensory Percussion set up

Please note: no software license is included with this add-on sensor! Without the original Sensory Percussion sound design software, this single sensor is useless. You can connect up to a maximum of 4 sensors to a single software license

From Sunhouse Sensory Percussion:

Sensory Percussion will change the way you approach your drumkit and will make you rediscover yourself as a drummer and a musician. Interested? Please read on and learn more about THE NEW WAY OF DRUMMING.

Other than drumtriggers you know, the Sunhouse Sensory Percussion sensors (not triggers!) are far more dynamic, comprehensive and intelligent. The easiest way to explain this is; you should think of the sensors like microphones, that can be taught the dynamics of your playing and the dynamics of a drum(head) responding to your playing.
Sensory Percussion is the first and only pickup for acoustic drums that is able to exactly follow and track the complex dynamics of the drum and the drummer...And this opens doors to drumming you'd never imagened being possible before!

The sensors drive the Sunhouse software, which is set up as a comprehensive sound design platform. The software includes around 23.500 (!) samples, over 270 presets and is loaded with sophisticated contollers and effects to personalize these sounds and different applications (via Midi, you could also assign lights...for instance). As you please, you could also incorporate your own samples.
An important aspect of how Sensory Perucussion works, is that you'll be teaching the sensors how to communicate with the software; the sensors are able to sense and locate up to 10 different zones of the drumhead, rim and even the drumshell. They are also sensitive to parameters like intensity / timbre or velocity of your strikes, cross-sticks, rim-shots, etc...you'll learn Sensory Percussion exactly how YOU hit the drums and once you've done that, the magic begins of connecting all of these parameters to a sound and / or controllers.

POWER TO THE DRUMMERS!
Sounds complex? Well, honestly, it is a lot to take in -we agree, but if you're wondering why you should go through all this hassle, we feel there are several very good reasons.
Sensory Percussion will severely change your approach of the drumkit from being mainly a rhythmic instrument to being able to play really melodic. Make no mistake; this is a serious game-changer in the world hybrid / electronic drumming and the creativity you can bring to the table is endless. In fact; you'll be able to play things on your drumkit that go beyond what a computer, drummachine or synth can do. Machines are simply unable to give the same dynamic performance they way you can as a drummer...imagen what this could do for your band, for music producers or beat creators, for stadium rockin' hip hop and EDM artists, not just soundwise but visually as well!

What else you need?
- A drum. Any drum will do. Can be fitted with a regular head as well as a mesh head. You could use it as a dedicated Sersory Percussion drum with a mesh head or layer your acoustic drums. Fits on snares, toms and kickdrums.
- A decent computer, Mac or Windows.
- An audio to USB interface. Amount of inputs depends on the amount of sensors you're gonna be using.
- XLR cables
