About This Listing

All non-tape related functions freshly recapped, serviced, calibrated.  Ampex 350 tube mic/instrument preamp with original (serviced) power supply (new tri-capacitor and tube)  NOS Ampex-spec output transformer, a rare find from my tech's stash (from an amp he used to produce decades ago). Has additional 1/4" output jack that bypasses transformer for more tone options! 1 preamp  tube was replaced by my dealer, the rest tested good+    Only selling because my complete tape machine (300/351) is finally done getting restored for my "Voice Of The Cylon" video series.
...or you could gamble with units with murky ads containing phrases like:

-untested
-I did not put this on the bench
-shouldn't take much to get up to speed
-pulled from a working environment
-worked when put into storage unit 16 years ago etc etc..

-I'd be interested in a Nagra 4 mono, Quad Eight MM-310/312, Electrodyne 711/712, API 550B, API compressors (500 series) Little Labs VOG, Empirical Labs Lil FrEQ and Distressor.
