1965 Gretsch 6122 Country Gentleman Mahogany w/case

100% All original. I purchased from the original owner who said they bought it new in 1965. I am the second owner. This guitar sounds and plays incredibly! The Gretsch Bigsby tremolo system is one of the best I have ever played, it holds tune perfectly. This guitar was just recently set up by a very well known luthier in the NYC area.

Cosmetic: Very good condition considering its age - well cared for & exceptionally clean with some binding cracks in areas as noted in the photos. The gold hardware has very little wear and is in remarkable shape for its age, except for some wear on the tremolo arm.

Neck: Maple neck with nicely aged cream binding & red side dots. Ebony fingerboard with pearloid "thumbnail" inlays. Frets have some wear but lots of life left as per my luthier. Grover tuners. 1 11/16" nut width with zero fret; 24 3/4" scale length.

Body: Double-cutaway, maple body with simulated F-holes and multi-bound top & back. Bigsby tremolo tailpiece with double mute pads. Gold plexi pickguard with Gretsch logo. Back pad is in great shape with all its snaps.

Pickups: Original Gretsch humbuckers - SuperTron neck & FilterTron bridge humbuckers. Master volume & individual pickup volume controls with "G" Arrow knobs. 3-way pickup & tone selector switches; 3-way standby switch.

Original hardshell case included a well as the original FilterTron pickup manual form 1965
