The top is solid spruce, and the back and sides are black walnut. This results in a full, honest sounding guitar with nice low end, even unplugged. The mahogany neck, with a walnut fingerboard, has a comfortable rounded profile, and the nut width of 1 11/16" makes this suitable for chording or fingerstyle playing, and fingers easily from the first fret up to the 12th. A striking quilted maple wedge accents the back. Wooden complements include a rich wooden rosette and flame maple binding.
