So here we have a1962 1963 l series neck plate. The pictures tell the story. None of the Chrome is flaking off although this thing was part of a guitar that was actually played and has some years of playwear on it. If you're looking to put together an early '60s Stratocaster and you're missing that one part well here it is. Please ask any questions you may have as well I can send more detailed photos if you need. Best regards
I had worked at a music store in the mid-1980s and there had seem to be quite a change in guitar chemistry. Everyone was going for fluorescent pointy headstocks massive stacks of empty 4x12 cabinets, spandex and hairspray. So while working at the shop a client came in and said I want an overhaul on my 6263 Stratocaster which included repainting the body in a fluorescent pink ish color if I remember correctly. So the neck the neck plate and all the hardware went into the dump. The client received a new neck with a pointy end on it. And that was the end of a happy story for some headbanger. I was apprenticing at the time and my boss said why don't you take all the other parts and we will find you a body and you can build a guitar as part of your apprenticing program. So flash forward to the year 2021 and I still have the neck plate and two of the pickups from that batch of parts. The other parts have gone to a good home....
