Here is a 22 year old James Goodall made jumbo guitar with solid flamed maple back and sides, and flamed maple binding around the top and back. The solid Sitka spruce top has aged beautifully and has a vintage amber tint. A colorful abalone rosette surrounds the sound hole. The bridge is ebony with pearl dot inlaid bridge pins. The fingerboard is also ebony, and is inlaid with abalone diamond inlays. The headstock is capped with flamed maple, inlaid with the abalone and pearl, winged G logo.
The condition of the guitar is near mint. I can only find one dent in the entire guitar. It is located on the top about 4.5 inches below the 6th string bridge pin. It is shallow, and I cannot get it to appear in the photographs. The adjustable neck of this guitar is straight, and set properly into the body, leaving a saddle of ample height for adjustments. The frets are original and show minimal playing wear. The action is set low, and the guitar is easy to play. It is loud, and well balanced. It has a warm voice with great presence in the midrange. This would make a great studio guitar, and the characteristic midrange of a maple guitar will allow it to stand out in a live group situation.
Included is an arched top and back TKL case with a plush burgundy interior. The case is in excellent condition.
