This Kurzweil workstation is fully expanded with the sampling option, 128 meg of RAM, PRAM, all 3 expansion boards (piano, orchestral, and contemporary) and the version 2.5 software which includes the KB3 mode. If you are not already familiar with it, I would refer you to Kurzweil's website for complete specs, but basically it is a great 88 key weighted action workstation with a ton of memory, sampling capability, an excellent sequencer, a 32 track interactive song arranger ,and a couple of thousand pre-set sounds. That's right- between what comes standard and what is on all the expansion words, there are approx. 2,000 sounds to choose from as pre-sets, and virtually any sound can be created from scratch if you learn the programming. To that end, it comes with a great instructional video as well as the original owners' manuals. Although an older model, this synth is still very serviceable, and would be ideal for someone just getting into synths who wants something with great capabilities to learn on that is relatively inexpensive. (With all the added options, this cost over $4,500 new back in the day, when it was current.) Everything works electronically 100%. Cosmetically it is in very good condition except for two dents, visible in the photos. One is on the metal strip below the keyboard on the right hand side, and the other is on the back panel. Otherwise very clean. You can pick this up from my mid town Manhattan location. I would rather not ship this item, as i no longer have a roadcase for it, and it would be very expensive to ship anyway because it's big and heavy!
