When I got this guitar in the US in 2008 it had an already sanded down body and had no logo on its head, however the neck is stamped March 1966, matching the neckplate.
The neck is straight and all electronics are fully functional, making it a great player. What makes it rare are the pickups: Velvet Hammers wired by Red Rhodes, which offer a wide range from twang to mellow. Five of the original tuners are part of the offer, as well as a case that seems to be from the 1980s.
This is not a collectors item, but a fine and reliable player - it has been my go-to for small live shows. However my hands are becoming more and more chunky, so I over the last few years I started to prefer the chunkier neck of my Strat.
