IBZ Pickups
Straight from the top. The GRGR221PA GIO comes equipped with a pair of blistering, IBZ-6 pickups. Based on the IBZ pickup sets found in Ibanez's top-of-the-range models, these high-powered humbuckers provide all the grunt you need for a crushing metal tone, while retaining enough clarity and definition to let every note of every chord shine through.

The bridge model offers a pleasing mid-range push that's just crying out for crunchy, distorted chords. The neck unit, however, gives a rounder, fuller tone with a beefy low end and twinkling treble. This is ideal for soft clean tones, or creamy solos. Switching between the two couldn't be easier, with a three-way blade switch that also offers a killer combined sound at the middle position - the best of both worlds.

GIO Series
The GIO Series was designed and developed by Ibanez for guitar players who desire the premium-quality of Ibanez instruments, but in a more affordable package. Not only does this range of guitars look and perform better than everything else in their price range, but their rigorous inspection, set-up, and warranty is identical to Ibanez's signature models. So if you're looking for a powerful guitar which suits players of all levels, then look no further than the Ibanez GIO.
