The Vega Folk Wonder is the most underrated banjo of the 60's era...This one's in player condition: there's crazing in the finish, one small piece of finish missing from the lower left of the heel, none of is affects playability and none of it is in the wood. Folk Wonders have maple necks and rims and bound ebony fretboards. The neck is straight and the frets are in good shape, no issues. The Elton tuning pegs and Grover 5th string tuner work perfect. It has a 26 7/8" scale. The FW-5 has the Vega Little Wonder tone ring, a steel ring enclosed in a nickel plated brass sleeve. This ring was used originally in the Vega Regent model from when Vega bought Fairbanks at the turn of the 19th/20th century. It's a great tone! Includes the original Vega semi-hard case.
