2018 Deering White Lotus Banjo - like new. I won this banjo as the 1st place prize at the North Carolina State Banjo Championship at the Carolina in the Fall festival in 2018. I have had the good fortune of winning several nice banjos at a number of contests. I have only played it for a few hours total, mostly in giving it a tune-up to list it for sale. It has less play time than one hanging on a wall at a music store. Comes with original Deering hardshell case.
The White Lotus is built with a white oak neck, resonator, and rim. Very lightweight; in lieu of a tonering, Deering uses a tall 3-ply white oak rim with a shaped crown for the banjo head. Made with Deering's "midnight maple" fretboard (instead of traditional ebony, or rosewood). Spikes factory installed at the 7th, 9th, and 10th frets.
Asking $2250. Would consider trades, especially for a decent mandolin, but would prefer to sell.
