This one has been babied. Circa 1850 James Ashborn Style 1 Parlor Guitar, in excellent condition. Ashborn aficionados need no explanation as to the level of craftsmanship attained wholly in house by Ashborn, including tuning machines to latches on his coffin cases.
It’s all here in full glory. From the beautifully complex dovetail joint at the neck to the butt joint at the body. Ashborn’s signature bridge design to his brass tuning machines made entirely in house. Red spruce top and set up with gut strings. No cracks, and only minor crazing to the laminate on the Brazilian back. Ebony bridge and board. Rosewood tuning pegs. Has been kept safe and hydrated in a modern case. Also will come with the original coffin case made by Ashborn.
As always, thanks for your support and take care.
