Want a more vintage Tweed tone and an earlier breakup? This is our Low Output Tweed Option, the kit contains a premium tested single JJ Electronic EL844 to drop the overall output a couple decibels and a low noise / low microphonic JJ 12AY7 for V1 and a standard low noise / low microphonic ECC83S for V2. The Tweed Option drops the preamp gain a bit more than the SRV option allowing even more power tube breakup from the EL844.

This Retube Kit is plug and play with no bias worries. The EL844 is a completely different tube than the stock tube your amp came with. The JJ EL844's are a proprietary tube that JJ Electronic built at the request of Eurotubes.

The dissipation of the JJ EL844 is 25% less than a standard EL84 so using the EL844 will reduce the power a little in your amp.

Unlike other tube venders who charge for low noise tubes, all our tubes meet rigorous tests for low noise, microphonics and nine additional tests.
