Stevie played his amps cranked and preferred a little cleaner sound from the front end allowing you to hear more power tube breakup. This kit uses a low noise / low microphonic JJ Electronic 5751 for V1 which is in-between an ECC81 and an ECC83S in gain, a standard low noise / low microphonic ECC83S for V2 and a premium tested JJ EL84 in a warmer grade for the power section. A real nice combination!
Unlike other tube venders who charge for low noise tubes, all our tubes meet rigorous tests for low noise, microphonics and nine additional tests.
