Up for sale is a super bad and incredibly rare circa 1987 USA Kramer Paul Dean model in VG+ condition and perfect working order. We just gave it a pro set up with 9-42 gauge strings so it plays amazingly with a straight neck, low action and the HSS pickups sound killer!
Cosmetically, this instrument is insanely clean and has been well taken care of over the years. That said, there is a bit of play wear. Just the usual culprits such as: tiny dings, a few small chips, swirl marks and light scratches in the clear coat from handling and cleaning. The original frets look great still without much visible wear. Just to state the obvious, this Flip Flop Pink finish is a desirable finish option for any Kramer and very era appropriate, obviously!
To the best of our knowledge, this instrument is all original with the exception of the pickups. It looks like these came originally with Seymour Duncan’s and these appear to be DiMarzio’s. That’s just our best guess though as we did not pull the pickups and check. Whatever’s in there sounds insanely great! There isn’t a serial number to be found. These were made from 1986-1988 so 1987 is a guess. Also, this is an “American” Kramer but they were building these in Japan at this point. This comes complete with its original hard shell case and trem arm.
The guitar weighs 8lbs 4.2oz. The nut width is 1.67”. The neck thickness is .755” at the 1st fret and .815 at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 5.74K, middle reads 7.97K and the bridge reads 12.74K.
