These B3 guitars can go up against the best Les Pauls but with the advantage of a double cutaway. Just a fantastic sounding and extremely well crafted instrument.
From the original dealer:
he pictures do not do the visual appeal of this instrument justice; the 5A quilted Maple top is absolutely stunning. It is an expensive upgrade but this is truly an heirloom quality instrument that can stay with the player for a lifetime. The 6105 stainless steel frets ensure a long fret life as well. You’ll never get tired of looking at this gorgeous three-dimensional quilted Maple top! We really like the way Gene did this Dirty Lemon Burst. The back color is a perfect complement to the incredible top; it’s a deep reddish brownish color which gives the instrument an overall top-shelf appearance. The Ebony heel cap is another classy touch which adds to visual appeal of this exemplary SL along with the Ebony headstock overlay that has ;some gorgeous but understated streaks. The Rosewood fretboard is a nice dark color with great figuring as well. Prepare to be wowed when you open the case!
The SL is an incredible take on the LP style guitar. It employs top shelf tonewoods while coupling the best quality hardware and highly acclaimed Lollar Imperial pickups. This particular guitar has Lollar Imperial Low Wind humbuckers. The lower winds accentuate the treble frequencies and in our opinion give it that classic PAF tone. One reason the classic PAF’s are coveted is because they had plenty of high end bite with beautiful harmonic overtones. They could play in Tele territory but had that great Les Paul tone. We think these Lollar Imperial Low Winds are a great representation of that classic PAF tonality. These guitars are tough to put down! The extremely comfortable neck profile adds to the mojo and makes for an addictive playing experience. This one is a nice lightweight at 8 lbs. 5 oz. Many argue that lightweight tonewoods contribute to better sonic properties. We’ll leave that up to you to decide but this one is very comfortable hanging from a strap!
This instrument comes signed by Gene Baker with certificate of authenticity, spec sheet and a black TKL hard shell case. We welcome any questions you may have about this b3 SL, any of the b3 custom orders we have in process, or a custom build that reflects your own playing style and aesthetic personality. Thanks for looking!
