This Gibson Les Paul was made in the USA in 1954. Although it would have started life as a goldtop, at some point in the late 50's it was sent back to Gibson for a sunburst refinish. The 3 piece top would have made an excellent "salesperson" example to show off the various wood options - birdseye, plain, or flame. All the parts are original but it did have other tuners on it at some point and the tuner holes were slightly enlarged, but the ferrules cover that. There are no breaks or repairs. The guitar weighs 9 pounds and 1 ounce. It is in excellent playing condition and has a truly unique and authentic look. It comes with the original case in the pictures.
