Vintage Akai MG1214 12 Track Recording Console

Wonderful analog sound from this classic unit. Eight Akai proprietary 1/2 inch tape cassettes are 
included. Brand new ones are still available on Ebay. The plastic lense on the the Channel/Track display is cracked, but the rec lights below it are fine. The tape counter can be inaccurate at times, but it may be the age of the tapes (3 from the 80's and 5 from the 90's), or the head might need adjusting. Otherwise, everything works. Three-band parametric EQ. This model deck has been used on records made by Thomas Dolby, Trevor Rabin, and others. Preferably local pickup,Preferably local pickup, (unit + original box are around 100 lbs). I'll be glad to ship it, but I can't pay the freight. The shipping cost listed is an estimate and, in reality, will depend on where the buyer is located. Ex: 2000 miles = about $200.00. The unit plus the original packaging weighs about 120 lbs.
