Hudson Electronics Ariel Posen Signature Broadcast Preamp Pedal

Hudson Electronics teams up with Ariel Posen!
The Broadcast-AP is the result of a collaboration between Michael Hudson and Ariel Posen.
It's an evolution of the classic Broadcast, designed to integrate with Ariel's unique sound.
At the heart of the Broadcast-AP is the same cicuitry as the Hudson Broadcast.
The Broadcast is a class-A discrete, transformer-coupled circuit designed to saturate in a way reminiscent of the classic 1960s RCA broadcast consoles.
The new Broadcast-AP swaps the original's germanium transistor for silicon and uses an OEP transformer in place of its older brother's Triad.
These changes give the Broadcast-AP a darker, smoother, more powerful tone compared to the standard version.
Greater weight in the lows, whilst retaining the open highs and upper-mids give the pedal a nice 3D effect.

The Broadcast-AP’s control layout is streamlined, boasting Level and Gain controls and a Low Cut switch that activates a high-pass/low-cut filter.
The high-pass / low-cut filter can help keep the low end together, especially when driving amps at higher gain and volume levels.
In addition, the gain of the pedal can be increased via an internal trimmer (when pushed to the max, the sound becomes overloaded, broken and fuzzy).
