About This Listing

Hello and welcome to the House of Chrome.

You are looking at a 1940's era Turner 80X crystal microphone with classic, clean lines and heavy deco / industrial influence. The stand shown is included as well as the original cable and gooseneck.

Pic # 2 is from an old Turner advertisement showing basic specs on the mic.

As seen in the pictures provided this mic has an immaculate satin chrome finish being free of any corrosion or deep scratches. The front screen is free of dents as well. The Turner badge looks excellent and this is probably the nicest 80X I have offered in quite some time.

It should be noted that the original Crystal element is actually still present but non-working and this should be used for display, prop or repair purposes only. This mic comes with its original (but shortened) 12 inch cable with a vintage female 1/4 Cannon XLR connector. You'll notice there is a 6 inch Atlas gooseneck provided to give you a wide degree of tilt in any direction needed. The gooseneck is in excellent physical and working condition.

The 80X mic comes with a vintage Atlas DS5 model cast iron mic stand which helps keep the mic upright. The stand is just as nice as the mic and is a 1950's era stand. The base is painted and free of any corrosion, paint chips or corrosion. It has 3 original rubber pads a swell to keep it from scratching any surface it sits on.

Mic with stand is appx 15 inches tall (when fully raised upright) X 6 inches wide. A very cool combo piece in which to display anywhere in the home or studio.

As with all my vintage microphones for sale...

I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy. The return shipping will be on you as I believe that's fair but the purchase price would be refunded. Simply return in the same nice condition...period. Check my rating. International buyers are welcome as well. BUYER MUST PAY WITHIN 24 HOURS or will lose rights to this item, unpaid item report will be filed and will be re-listed. If you don't intend on buying this...do not commit to buy please. Domestic buyer will get priority shipping.

If you have any questions feel free to ask and...thanks for looking.
