The acoustic guitar "HayWagon" made by Tokai Gakki, which Prima Musical Instruments sold for only two years between 1977 – 1979.
The herringbone binding and the three piece back have a look reminiscent of Martin's D-28 and D-35. The inlaid head logo is beautifully conceived and an indication of the quality of Japanese guitars from this era.
The body is comprised of a spruce top and Brazilian rosewood back and sides while the mahogany neck sports an ebony fingerboard. Due to the short production period there are very few examples of this model in existence and the quality is so good most people hang onto them so it is very rare for these to appear on the market. Grab it while you can!
Although the guitar comes equipped with a passive pickup, the output is rather weak, so if you want to use it as an electric-acoustic guitar we recommend that you use a different pickup. Cosmetically, there are small scratches and minor dents throughout, but it is still in relatively beautiful condition considering the model year.
The case shown in the photo is included.
