Incredible opportunity to purchase a superb Jose Ramirez 1a 1977. Very rare , and extremely sought after by serious classical guitarists. My Jose Ramirez 1a 1977 is a brilliant example of what a top professional classic guitar should be, and is constructed in the same ways as Segovia’s famous Ramirez have produced instruments performed on by countless professionals. Ramírez probably influenced the history of guitar making like no one else. I have classed this guitar as is in excellent condition given its age and particularly when compared to other Ramirez 1a guitars that I have seen for sale.That said, please examine the photos of the guitar itself, that are an important part of this description. Its been played, but very well looked after in a smoke free and humidity controlled environment. It plays beautifully , and is set up for my playing. The tone is pure heaven , articulate clear and superbly balanced yet warm, and emotional depending on your playing .These are the qualities that made Ramirez so famous and sought after . Woods are western red cedar top, rosewood sides ( I cant be sure what type ) and ebony fretboard. The bone nut has been replaced by a luthier as the original one was cracked. Condition – Please check the photos for overall condition.There is some general wear from play and use throughout, as expected for its age.There is also some play wear behind the neck. There are 2 dings in the top around the edge, none of which is full thickness or affect the sound in any way. There is also a small linear centre hair-line crack that appeared in the back after a few years of play ,that is not unusual apparently as the woods settle in, and was repaired professionally by Ramimez themselves .Its very difficult to see on photos , and completely stable , but I make note of it for transparency. The Hard case is newer and not a perfect fit for the guitar so I use some padding to have it sit tight, but considering i never travel with it it serves me well. I am aware of what these instruments are priced at currently , and have taken into consideration all aspects of its condition when deciding on a price.
