Elixir Strings is the #1 acoustic guitar string in the US. Elixir Strings give your acoustic guitar brilliant, detailed tone that lasts 3 - 5x longer than ordinary strings.

Elixir Strings with Polyweb Coating have the warm tone and smooth response of "played-in" strings and reduce finger squeak. All sets of Elixir Strings for acoustic and electric guitar include Anti-Rust Plain Steels.

Elixir's breakthrough plating technology prevents rust and corrosion, extending the life of the plain steel strings 3 - 5x compared to ordinary strings. Best of all, you get great tone and fresh, clean feel every time you pick up your guitar.

What's the difference between NANOWEB and POLYWEB coatings?

The difference between Elixirs coating 'flavours' is found in the tone and feel of the strings. Nanoweb coated strings sound and feel like un-coated strings and they are bright, lively, and the coating is so micro thin that you can barely tell it's there.

Polyweb coated strings have a balanced tone and smooth response and they sound like strings that have been 'played in'. In addition, POLYWEB coated strings feel comfortably smooth and help reduce finger squeak.
