Impact by Status 1017 120W Amp vintage Tube head unit 1960s/70s
Impact amps were built by “Sound City” and are very similar to HiWatt.
This particular head unit was Made in England in the late 1960’s or early 70s. Impact amplifiers started in 1963, from within a small unit in Wardour St, London. Later on, it was sold to Dallas-Arbiter.
This amp is one of the very early Dallas-Arbiter ones as it is labelled “Impact by Status”.
So, it’s a Sound City amp in an Impact-styled cabinet.
Very similar to the Sound City 120 Head,
Partridge transformers, similar circuit, shaking walls loud!
Earlier model due to the blend channel jack being in the circuit,
knobs being volumes, bass, middle, treble, and presence.
Has had a recap and circuitry work done to the unit,
New input jacks, Tested tubes, and grounded cord.
Sounds awesome, ready to play!
