Here's an extremely rare Dan Armstrong Modified Danelectro 1969/70 Black / White. Dan Armstrong made these in his New York City guitar shop with parts he bought from the Danelectro Co. when they went out of business. Read all about them at danarmstrong.org/danelectro.

Dan Armstrong was a real innovator and his story is fascinating.  He was a true rock-n-roll legend and one of our greatest guitar designers, and his hands were all over this bass. This bass is likely one of the very first ones made as it has upside-down graphics on the pick guard, probably a mistake, and only one strap button on the rear, not two, as these instruments are known to have. This is the only Dan Armstrong Modified Danelectro I've seen like this.

This guitar is in excellent working and playing condition. There is some normal play wear and some finish scratches as to be expected in a vintage insrument. It appears to be all original, except for the knobs, and comes with it's original case.  Please see the photos and as always feel free to ask any questions. This is a fantastic instrument and a real gem in any bass guitar collection.
