Here's some info on this cool guitar company....
NEW WORLD GUITARS are available in a wide variety of sizes, styles and
prices suited to students, enthusiasts and performers alike.
Currently NEW WORLD GUITARS are available in 2 series: all solid wood PLAYER models and solid top ESTUDIO models.
In 1995 Kenny Hill traveled to Paracho, Mexico to begin building and
importing the best quality guitars possible. Establishing the MASTER
SERIES as a successful line of affordable hand-made instruments, he
moved production to China in the early 2000's establishing the NEW WORLD
brand.
Kenny traveled to each manufacturing site, trained staff, overseeing the
design, technique and quality control of each model. Kenny continues to
visit production sites periodically to review guitar production. This
enables us to provide remarkable guitars at remarkable prices.
The techniques and materials used to build New World Guitars are the
same used on Hill Guitars in California. All instruments are given their
final set up and adjustment in our shop in California before being
offered for sale. We think you'll agree we bring you traditional old
world quality in our New World Guitars.
MATERIALS
Our PLAYER and ESTUDIO guitars are made from the best quality woods we
can acquire. Classical guitars come from the Spanish traditional design
which also includes the acquisition and assembly of woods from around
the world. These include cedar and spruce, Indian rosewood, ebony and
Spanish cedar.
The soundboard or top is responsible for the majority of sound
production, so we seek the best grades of Canadian cedar and spruce we
can to get the best sound possible.
Back and sides are made from solid Indian rosewood for the PLAYER and
laminated Indian rosewood for the ESTUDIO. The back and sides of our 45C
are made of Bubinga.
The tradional wood for the fingerboard is Ebony from Africa, which is
what we use on the PLAYER. We use Indian rosewood for the ESTUDIO
fingerboards.
The material used for the nut and saddle is cow bone. Used on the finest
concert guitars, the density of bone has been found to be the best for
suspending the strings across the fingerboard and soundboard.
This particular guitar has a solid cedar top and Indian Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Bone nut and very high end gold tuners. This is a guitar to be proud of. It has a traditional 25 1/2 inch scale neck and the nut measures a full 2 1/8 inches. A full classical width. I noticed that right away. I don't think I have ever played a guitar with that wide a nut. Very different and much easier for finger style picking. As beautiful as this guitar is, check out that case. Incredibly beautiful and functional. Its as nice as the guitar and even includes a carry strap should you want to sling it over your shoulder. The accessory box even has the case key and truss rod tool. Yes, again, this cool guitar has a truss rod. Very unique for a classical guitar.
Mint, yet sold as is no returns as its used. However, I have been hand picking my customers instruments for over 20 years now. They all loved the guitars I found for them. This beautiful classical will certainly not be an exception.
