The Evans EC2S coated drum head features a Sound Shaping Technology (SST) ring mounted underneath two plies of 7mil film. The ring curbs edge vibration instead of eliminating it isolating and damping higher overtones to give you a broad tuning range punchy attack enhanced bottom end and optimal sustain. Sized differently for each head size the SST ring delivers a well-balanced "pre-equalized" tone across your full kit while a special frosted coating juices attack and low-end response.
