Limited edition not many made at all !
This is a RARE discontinued collector guitar ! My Danelectro distributor told me only 12 were made in sunburst I was also told that only 6 were made in Black and I acquired 2 of them .
But honestly I think there were more of them in sunburst made .
I ended up with 4 of these Sunbursts 2 Black ones and 2 extremely rare ivory ones !!!!
There is a reason you do not see them for sale much as most who were lucky to find them kept them !!!
This now includes a $200 retail hardcase
Why was this special guitar the most expensive one listed by Danelectro at $1199 ??
Well take there normal $699 guitar and add 3X Lindy Fralin single coil pickups $300 plus
Then add 6 locking tuners $70
Then add a Wilkinson vibrato bridge $100
That kicks the value up by $$470 so close to the $1199 retail price !
Toss in the fact that I am including a new hardcase with these as I think they deserve it since they are the most expensive Danelectros made in years !
HINT the artist who inspired these builds is a well know Aerosmith guitarist with the initials JP !!!!
Well have I given you enough hints as to the ARTIST ,who commissioned this guitar, yet ? Here is the Dano description :
