Vintage 1950’s Argonne AR-54 "Big Walter” HiZ Crystal Bullet Harmonica Microphone with mic stand and original box.
The Aiwa crystal element has been tested and it is providing strong, hot output. There is a 6 foot cable with a standard 1/4” plug, ready to connect to your modern amp, preamp, mixer or interface. These mics were made in Japan and sold by Calrad, Olson, Primo, and others as well as Argonne in the 50’s and 60’s.
There are some minor scratches and paint imperfections to the finish as seen in the photos. Overall, it’s a beautiful looking vintage mic and displays very nicely.
The mic stand in the photos is included in the sale.
This microphone was nicknamed the “Big Walter” microphone after Big Walter Horton who used one in the 1950’s. This mic has big bottom tone with classic vintage crystal Chicago Blues sound. See the attached video to hear an example of this model in action.
