Beautiful, original, and reasonably priced Orlando 335, a copy of the famous Gibson model. These are commonly called "lawsuit" guitars because supposedly Gibson sued many of these companies for copyright infringement. Deeper research will tell you that very few, if any lawsuits were ever filed, but just look at the "open book" headstock design on this and you will see why Gibson was so upset at Orlando, and many Japanese companies during the 70's. This guitar is in very good condition for it's age ( about 40+ years old ), but it has certainly been played. There are chips and scratches throughout, so it's got the vintage mojo you should want to see in an instrument that sounded good enough to play!
Everything works, however, I cannot guarantee the functionality of the truss rod, only because I have never had to adjust it. I believe the neckplate design indicates that it was probably made at the famous Matsumoku factory, which would explain it's excellent quality. The tones you can generate with this guitar are what you might expect from any semi-hollow, 335 type guitar,,,,,,,,,from jazzy stuff, to blues, to John Lennon type rock. It sounds great through overdrive and distortion pedals as well. Quite versatile. For the player, or budding vintage Japan collector, this is a reasonable way into a 335 style guitar that will provide lot's of fun and lots of tone. Comes with nice non-original hardshell case, probably worth $100.00 on it's own, LOL.
WON'T LAST!!!!
