Because ALL our guitars/basses are actually built and finished by Real Human Hands uniquely and painstakingly one at a time
and because Humans are NOT perfect ...all Black Diamond USA Guitars and basses have the distinct
possibility (even when new) of having blems, scuffs, marks, dings or dents etc.
This is the Human aspect of truly building by our own hands, Not machines or CNC's.

It will take me
approx. 16-18 months +/- in the custom shop to complete the guitar...
(it could be a little less or a little more time to complete)
these guitars are all hand built, and hand painted/finished and are an incredible amount of work.
I have built several of these over the years.

Anyway... I am a custom hand guitar builder/Luthier
and a huge fan of cool guitars, so years ago i set out to build my version of a checkerboard guitar
these are all hand airbrushed and then clearcoated, wetsanded and buffed to a gloss finish
They take an enormous amount of time to build and hand paint.
I hand build these guitars and actually hand carve all my neck from scratch,
