History (by Fujigen) ZLS-90 CFS LP style
History guitars are made exclusively for the Japanese store chain Shimamura Music. They, like so many iconic guitar brands - Greco, Ibanez, Fender Japan to name but a few, were made by Fujigen and it shows in the quality throughout. The body is a 3 piece mahogany with beautifully matched joins that are barely noticeable (an of course have zero impact on tone or playability). Mahogany one-piece neck with rosewood fretboard adorned with classy split inlays. The body top is a flame maple veneer on a solid maple top. The Fujigen designed heel-less neck joint gives excellent & comfortable access when playing the high notes. Frets feature the exclusive Circle Fretting System that us designed to improve intonation across the strings. Hardware is all high quality with Grover tuners and Gotoh bridge & tailpiece. As far as I can see the pickups are the original Louis brand Alnico that sound great.
These are a lot of guitar for the money and being designed for the Japanese market aren't common outside of Japan - but they should be. A beauty like this won't last long, so don't miss out.
