New version with Maple Top! The Airline MAP is a tribute model inspired by the original vintage National Newport electric guitar. The Airline Guitar reissue maintains the cool vibe of the original VALCO design, but addresses issues with playability, reliability and construction that those old guitars were infamous for. In fact, you can own this tribute model at a price far below the rare vintage instruments, and it’s a better playing and sounding instrument for the money.

“The MAP” is a well-balanced guitar which fits comfortably against the body and its medium / slim neck fits nicely in the hand. The body is made from Tone Chambered Mahogany and the all wood construction gives a rich, resonant tone vs the rather dead sounding Reso-glas construction of the originals. Two killer sounding Alnico Hot 10 humbucker pickups and a Tune-o-Matic Bridge with Stop Tailpiece top off the package.

This new FM version of the Airline Map features three new burst finishes on a flamed Maple top, breathing a new life and feel into a familiar aesthetic. The zero fret has been dropped and 5-ply binding is also standard.
