The idea behind this pedal was to build something that could create abrasive intense feedback & oscillation in a live or studio scenario that could also be switched on or off thus acting like a second effect or channel.
Here's the official HURT CIRCUIT FUZZ demo
The Hurt Circuit is a switchable vintage sounding midrange attacking fuzz that also has a foot switch to toggle between adjustable intense feedback & oscillation. Either rolling your guitar volume & tone knob or the Hz knob will determine & manipulate the different harmonics the feedback circuit can generate.
The fuzz circuit has been tuned to deliver a cutting abrasive midrange feel without castrating all the low end of your un effected signal. The fuzz knob also acts like a crude blend which brings in a variety of texture to the fuzz instead of just acting like a bass or treble cut.
Having the feedback (Hz) circuit engaged while the Hz knob is turned all the way down will act like a second blended tone of your clean signal on top of an under current of dirge & frequency wresting between the oscillation & feedback. You can match the feedback channel with your fuzz channel or set it to work as two different tones.
This pedal is also very sensitive & intense going into a Wah pedal.
The Hurt Circuit has the ability to deliver a ridiculous amount of sustain & stacks very well with other dirt & modulation boxes. It's touch sensitively also makes it able to be used in complex or dissonant chord progressions while still delivering an irate timbre.
The pedal can be ordered in two sizes, a large vintage size case & in a more pedal board friendly size.
The Hurt Circuit takes a standard 9v power adapter or 9v battery.
This pedal works at its optimum before a buffered pedal in the chain.
