A guitar made by the french luthier Pierre-Marie Châteauneuf.
This guitar is quite unique in several aspects that make it one of a kind. As far as I know, Gibson has never released (besides custom orders) a left handed Explorer with the dimensions of the Explorer Pro (90% of the original body size).
The body wings are alder, and the main body and neck through is made of 3 pieces of maple reinforced with two pieces of carbon. The fretboard is made of ebony.
Gibson scale, 24 frets, 12 inches radius.
Seymour Duncan JB on the bridge and Rio Grande Muy Grande on the neck. Volume only, 3 way switch and individual single coil switch for each pickup. Original Floyd Rose, and locking tuners.
The guitar has been used and it has some blemishes that I tried to capture on the pictures.
The neck is beefy, but easy to play.
Gator case, with evident wear. It "smells" like the old owner used to smoke. I have tried to air the case, but it still has hints of cigarrette smoke.
My opinion: the guitar sounds really good clean, surprisingly good taking into consideration that is a very straighforward metal guitar. It does metal as it should. Personally, I think it's too crowded with a Gibson scale and a Floyd Rose, but I have big hands. For a player with small hands it will be perfect.
This guitar does not like low action. I have it now with 10-46, and the low E string is at 1.5mm at the 12th fret, and that is as low as it will go without problems.
The case is quite big, and it might be a problem for the shipping rate. If you want a more accurate fee, please write to me. The same if you want more pictures.

22/11/23: I have a love/hate relationship with this guitar. I sent it to be refretted with jumbo stainless steel frets, and now it plays great, but the action won't go very low. The refretting was done here in Sweden by a very competent technician with a PLEK machine. It was not cheap, and that's why the price won't go down.
I like to play it, but it is just too small for me. Please, before buying, send me questions and I'll send you a video of the guitar, because it is a very unusual built.
