About This Listing

77 – Fender Jazz Bass (Sunburst) – Left Hand

A very special one owner from new FENDER Jazz Bass (Left hand), Sunburst, Maple Neck, all original, is super condition - made in 1977

This beauty sports the classic vintage vibe definitely used but absolutely not abused with just the right amount of weather checking and finish wear.

Contoured double cutaway ash body in beautiful sunburst finish with 3ply black pickguard. Top loading bridge with 4 individually adjustable barrel saddles.

The hardware shows some oxidisation from use. The original pickup cover and bridge covers are present an in unblemished condition.

The ‘C’ shaped double bound maple neck with black side dots and mother of pearl block inlays is straight, truss rod working perfectly and is very easy to play with its low action.

The maple fingerboard is in great condition with the original frets which show signs of wear consistent with age, but still have plenty of life in them left. Fender open gears tuners all work perfectly and hold the string tension perfectly.

The 2 original Fender single coil ‘JB’ pickups are present. CTS pots date to December 1976

Original Fender fitted ‘left hand’ case with original case candy – tags, strap, fender manual, original bill of sale. Case shows exterior wear consistent with its age.

A pro’s pro quality instrument, well balanced, versatile, with a very high level of precision, offering definition and clarity for delicate genres of music but when driven this bass fits in to any rock / blues groove.

Please review all photos carefully as they form part of the description. We are happy to  provide additional photos on request.

This rare one owner guitar has been lovingly cherished, sparingly played. If you are looking for an instrument that is more refined with prices significantly rising over the past few years due its near cult following, this is not only a stellar guitar but a very desirable vintage instrument to the Collector, Investor and discerning Stage Player, and a very sound investment piece.
