The Chaos Brother is a modulation module full of enough options and knobs to keep it interesting no matter where you decide to use it.
It all starts with the CHAOS knob, when turned all the way to the left, you get repetitive, tame oscillations like you would find in a basic LFO. Start turning the knob to the right and the Chaos ensues. The speed of the chaos can be adjusted with the speed knob so there is a wide range of variation possible.
With Speed AND Chaos knobs, it is very easy to dial in just the right amount of craziness. At times like an LFO, other times generating wild patterns, jagged waveforms, or even strange bass blasts. Use it to add vibrato to a melody, out of this world sweeps, hiccups, slow swirls, or use the smooth out for more subtle controlled modulation.

With a CV input, you can have the whole cloud of modulation stop and start, melt and reform ON THE BEAT, synced to your sequencer or a sharp LFO.
Things get more interesting when you take advantage of the gate output. This single output allows the performer to create chains of percussion. Drive the Chaos Brother with a gate, and then drive the rest of your system with the Chaos Brothers gate out. Flip the threshold till it's just right, take one of the three outputs (x, y and smooth) and plug them in all over the place.
Modulate your VCOS and your filters, trigger your envelopes, clock your sequencer, and cross-modulate to your hearts content.
