About This Listing

This is an amazing one of a kind piece of rock and roll and musical instrument history.  First of all it's a prototype from the great indie amp maker Satellite.  And then to top it off, it was owned and played by Walter Becker as it was his stage amp.  There is bullet proof provenance as it was purchased from the auction.

It comes with a massive road case.

it has not been played since the auction, so I have no idea the working order or lack there of.  So factor in a trip to the amp tech or be pleasantly surprised.  There is a plate on the back warning of the excessive volume that the amp produces.

There is one picture of it with a Mesa Boogie cabinet.  That cabinet is not included.

Own a piece of musical history.  Peg, Josie, Rikki Don't Lose That Number, Reeling In The Years.... think of all the amazing Steely Dan songs that were played through this amp night after night!

The amp is 12 by 22 by 8 1/4 inches and it comes in a touring road case that is 16 by 24 by 13 inches.

Again, I have not used the amp and just bought it as an investment, but have heard from many sources that it is the loudest thing most people have ever heard. In fact on the back of the amp, there is a metal plate that says “SATELLITE AMPLIFIERS/ 300 WATT PROTOTYPE/ EXTREMELY LOUD. PLEASE USE CAUTION WHEN PLAYING AND WHEN TURNING ON. POTENTIAL HEARING DAMAGE./ QUESTIONS CALL SATELLITE AMPS 619-273-2255 OR 619-997-1324.”

I attached a link of a demo of a Satellite Amp.

There is a 40% restocking fee, so please only purchase the amp if actually want to follow through with the transaction.
