This is a 1960s Ampli-Vox Roving Rostrum portable PA system. It is basically an all-in-one analog PA system in a box.
It includes two speakers built into the housing, a mic gooseneck, volume control, line and aux. inputs, and 12V operation.
It also includes a vintage Astatic 335L hi-Z microphone. Mic did not work when plugged in; element probably needs to be replaced. Continuity tests of cable showed that cable is fine.
This unit is designed to work with D batteries. (A 12V power supply like a car/tractor/boat battery would also work in a pinch. You'd need alligator clips for this, however.)
This amp gives a trippy lo-fi sound when under-powered (7V - 10V) and a nice, crisp sound when powered at spec, around 12V - 13V.
