Padouk version of the russian ethnic fipple flute-svirel.
Made from impressive dark- or wine-red tropical wood this svirel has brighter and more open round tone as compared with common woods instruments.
Medium backpressure, good response.
Medium to higher volume. Good for mid-size session or jam. Best for solo playing and playing in duos or trios.
Two octaves range.
The scale is diatonic with two additional holes on the back side to play flat 3rd and flat 7th.
May be used as common irish low whistle (you can cover the back holes with scotch tape etc).
Wooden tuning slide with buffer plastic ring.
