I consider these early Tokai's the best of the best of the MIJ les pauls and they are the most collectable for a reason. These were the first historic style les pauls made long before Gibs*n figured out there was even a market for them. This one has a one piece mahogany neck, 3 piece mahogany body, solid 3 piece maple top with lots of nice figuring and a beautiful dark chocolate rosewood board. The neck is a very nice medium chunky c shape. The burst on this one is exceptional and it looks even better in person. These came stock with an aluminum/featherlight tailpiece and no wire, abr style bridge. Everything on it appears to be 100% stock. Has the original circuit board electronic and the stock, double cream pickups. The tone control for the bridge pickup recently stopped working but everything else is in working order (should be an easy fix). Has had a very recent, professional setup w/10's. Action is low and guitar is playing great. The frets are in great shape with no pitting or divots and they have plenty of life/meat left on them. This one really is in great shape for its age with very minor scuffs, scratches and small dingers. There have been NO previous breaks or fractures. Comes with a great, heavily padded gig bag.
