# Super Frequency - Ugly Face
This is my take on Tim Escobedo’s Ugly Face a raucous square wave generator masquerading as a “fuzz” pedal.
More guitar synth than distortion box. It super imposes a square wave oscillator over the input signal of your instrument in a surprisingly musical way.
The Threshold control sets the point of oscillation. With the input signal below the threshold the effect is silent. Turning the Threshold up and the pedal self oscillates.
The envelope control adds subtle to extreme animation to the internal oscillator.
