Paramount, Wm. L. Lange, Style A Tenor Banjo, serial #5279

NOTE: Tuners are missing

This vintage 4-string tenor banjo is believed to be all original. It features original hardware and frets (19), an external action adjuster on the tailpiece, mother of pearl position markers inlaid into the fingerboard, the original nut, pearl filigree inlay on the headstock. Wood is believed to be birch and maple. Original hard shell case. Note: the case handle leather is broken on one end. Includes a vintage Paramount tension key and new Grover bridge. The Remo Weatherking head is not believed to be original but was on the banjo when I bought it in 1975. Made in the USA.

Obviously, I'm not the original owner of this instrument so its history is unknown prior to the time that I purchased it. Since then, I've done nothing to alter it and have kept it in its case all these years.
