Digitech XP Foot Switch Buttons & Rubber Bumper Feet Repair Kit For The Digitech XP-100 Whammy Wah, XP-200 Modulator, XP-300 Space Station and XP-400 Reverberator

If you are the proud owner of a XP-100 Whammy Wah, XP-200 Modulator, XP-300 Space Station (lucky you!) or XP-400 Reverberator that is experiencing issues switching presets or problems bypassing the pedal, these high quality internal tactile foot switches will get your prized XP up-and-running and back to rocking like a hurricane! Yep, no more frantically tapping the switch a few times just to bypass the unit, or to bank up or down! The rubber bumpers below the treadle are crucial for the protection of the internal LED optics and the proper calibration of the XP's toe and heel positions for the various effect parameters.

This auction includes the following:

- (4) High Quality Tactile Foot Switches
- (12) High Quality Rubber Bumpers

As you probably guessed by looking down at your pedal, the XP series has two footswitches: one for Bank UP / Bank DOWN, and another for Bypass. This auction will allow you to replace the ones in your existing unit, AND have a spare set for future repairs.

To swap out the old switches and install the new ones, you will need some moderate DIY (Do-It-Yourself) skills in order to desolder and remove the old switches and solder in the new ones. You will need a phillips screwdriver, some desoldering braid or a desoldering sucker or gun, a little solder, and a soldering gun. If you don't have any of those items, most of these tools can be easily found here on Ebay, Amazon, Fryes Electronics, Radio Shack, or your local electronics store.

The rubber bumpers are unassuming parts that provide protection for the LED optical system that acts as a potentiometer for the toe/heel motion of the expression pedal. These bumpers occasionally fall of, become brittle, or are sliced in half from heavy use. Others have been removed by users who like the extra throw, or travel, of the pedal, without knowing they could be damaging the internal optics. We’ve seen our fair share of shattered LEDs and its not pretty - don’t be that guy or gal. Leave the rubber bumpers alone, they are your friends.

These bumpers match the exact hardness, or durometer, of the stock Digitech bumpers and provide a nice solid feel when you are in the toe and heel positions. Many people replaced these with your standard, and very squishy, run-of-the-mill hardware store bumpers. These softer bumpers are usually reserved for kitchen cabinets and don't allow for perfect calibration because the toe and heel never quite reach exact 0% at the heel position and 100% at toe position. This leads to various presets acting glitchy in the minimum and maximum positions. These twelve bumpers will allow you to replace your existing four expression pedal bumpers, the four found on the bottom plate, and a have a spare set for the future.

The switches and bumpers will come to you in a small handy zip-locking plastic bag. Once you have the unit open, and you have repaired the current switches and replaced the old bumpers, we recommend placing the spare switches and bumpers in the bag and taping them, with heavy-duty packing tape, to the inside of your XP for handy access when you've worn out the old ones from too much rock action.
