1989 Beneteau Mini Jumbo Sunburst
This is an early example of well known Canadian master luthier Marc Beneteau's exquisite craftsmanship which was handmade in St. Thomas, Ontario in 1989. At this point in time Marc was well past a dozen or so years handcrafting aesthetically beautiful guitars. His passion and overall attention to detail is brilliantly displayed in this custom built Mini Jumbo Sunburst. It has the bold, rounded look of a Jumbo but is a standard 16” sized instrument, perfect for anyone who likes power with a full voice. The full-bodied tone is balanced, sweet, with a somewhat woody resonance but is clear, uncluttered and articulate. Striking Brazilian Rosewood adorns the headstock, fingerboard and bridge. Subtle Maple binding surrounds the sunburst Adirondack Spruce top and the stunning rare flamed Honduran Mahogany of the body. This instrument epitomizes one of Marc’s finest early builds. Overall it’s in extremely good condition after 34 years with only a very few minor blemishes hard to see in the photos.
