VINTAGE 1982 FENDER by SQUIER 1962 STRATOCASTER - RARE

This instrument was purchased new by an authorized Fender dealer in 1982 and has remained in the store collection since then, never sold, never played, never offered for sale.  This is the earliest known Squier series, made in Japan.  Both the 1962 and 1957 versions of the Stratocaster were produced, only the first limited production run featured the classic Fender pre-cbs spaghetti logo by Squier, later versions were changed to Squier by Fender.  The body, neck and parts were produced in Japan, the pick-up / pick guard assembly was manufactured in the USA, then shipped to Japan for final assembly, this was all recreated in exacting vintage specifications.  The Japan factory shipped the first and only 'Fender by Squier' production run to Canada and the UK.  Not many of these exist, it's not likely you have ever seen one in person.  Comes with a vintage re-issue tweed case, not original to the guitar.
