I purchased this Takamine new in 1990. It was  one of the last ones available with this abalone  inlay. It sounds and plays great and I've rarely  played it since 2004. It does have a scratch near  the jack and some small indentions from capo  use on the back of the neck and headstock but  it's in amazingly great shape for it's age.
