A very nice and extremely rare Regal Double Sound Hole Flat Top Guitar, "Borg Balancing Control Tone Refiner" circa 1929, with hard shell case. I would assume this may have been a one off, it is definitely an oddity of oddities, I've not found any evidence on the internet of another one of these. It has vivitone or virzi style bracing/tone structure inside, dual sound holes, Spruce top with checkered purfling, Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck 15 1/4" wide at the lower bout, 25 3/4" scale, 1 13/16" at the bone nut, Ebony fretboard and ebony floating bridge, three sound posts, the square label inside says "Borg Balancing Control Tone Refiner". It is a good playing guitar with unique sound, and it appears mostly original except for the pickguard. There is quite a bit of surface wear and scratching on the back and sides as seen in the photos. The guitar has a comfortable "C" shaped neck and is comfortable to play, great for finger picking as heard in the video.
As heard in the You Tube video this is a unique sounding guitar that projects well when strummed or played in a finger picking style.
Included in the sale is a newer hard shell case that is in excellent condition.
The pictures pretty much tell the story, if you have any questions pertaining to the guitar, feel free to ask them. I have described this extremely rare Regal Double Sound Hole Flat Top Guitar, "Borg Balancing Control Tone Refiner" and its condition accurately and am selling it as is with no returns due to its age and vintage condition.
